Is there any default way to show the summary tasks in the resources My Work->Tasks section?
I've avoided assigning summary tasks to resources but it would be really useful for resources to see the summary tasks as they enter updates.
Please let me know.

Hi I m facing a scenario in our production environment when the timesheet page, resources page, projects page goes go web part maintenance dialogue. This happens only sometime about once in 2 weeks but I cant find the reason. After rebooting the application server the pages load properly.
This is what I see in logs:
1. AssemblyReflector : Failed to load dependency assembly in load context and in load from context. Assembly: BihConsumerInterop System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Unable to find the specified file
2. SPReaderWriterLock named [Process Context Lock] held for 109 milliseconds. Call stack: (enable Verbose for stack trace)
3. DependencyInjectionHandler : API documented invariant broken. Properties are not set even though the exposer is exposed.
4. Unexpected Exception in SPDistributedCachePointerWrapper::InitializeDataCacheFactory for usage 'DistributedLogonTokenCache' - Exception 'Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.DataCacheException: ErrorCode<ERRCA0018>:SubStatus<ES0001>:The request timed out
5. CCANameProjector : Exception:Exception : Access to the path 'E:\SPData\Office Server\CanonicalResources\ProjectionModels\EN_EN.mdl' is denied.
6. Failed to Sql Query data XEvent collector on _____\ProjServer with error User does not have permission to perform this action.

Hi all,
We have a strange behavior while trying to edit / modifiy a resource with Project Pro. In fact, we are not able to do any modifications on resources in Project Pro.
The administrator opens the Resources Center in PWA, select a resource and can edit it in PWA. But he needs to modify the rates (table B, C, D and E), so he must use Project Pro. He then click Edit in Project Pro. Project opens and the resource is displayed correctly. The administrator does all the required modifications and click the save button. So far so good.
But when he tries to close Project Pro, a dialog ask him if he wants to save the modifications. Of cours he answers "Yes". Nothing happens, Project Pro doesn't close. To close Project Pro, he must answer "No". Project Pro closes, but no update have been done to the resource, all modifications have been lost.
I don't think a permission problem since he can edit or modifiy the resource in PWA. We have also tried to do the same on another computer or with another user. Same result.
Does someone has experienced the same behavior ? Or knows how to fix it ?

A few days ago, I activated the 'New Resource Management Features Available' option in Project Online via 'Server Settings > 'Additional Server Settings'.
However, the 'Engagement' tab in 'MS Project Pro for Office 365' is not visible. How do I activate this feature in 'MS Project Pro for Office 365' ?

We have new users to Project Server 2013 that are complaining that they do periodic saves and the next time they re-open their file their changes are not there. Sounds like an issue of changes not transferring from cache.
Has anybody else seen this?

I am trying to utilize RBS in MSPS 2013 On Prem to manage what users have access to. I believe I have it set-up almost correctly, there is one issue that I cannot seem to resolve. The issue only occurs when I use the "The Project Owner has the Same RBS value as the user" (the 5th check box in the Category set-up)
I have two RBS values in the RBS Table, for this blog call them RBS-A and RBS-B.
Problem: User A when in RBS-A can still see "some" of the projects where the owner is in RBS-B. When I say some, the RBS-B owner has 10 projects, User A will see 4 projects.
There is some link/issue/association to the 4 projects that I cannot figure out.

We have a project server 2013 that migrated from 2007.
In both 2010 and 2013 PWA site "Publish" control in Status updates history ribbon is disabled and can not publish pending approved updates.

I created two Excel Reports and saved them in a SharePoint 2010 folder (with the help of Andrew Lavinsky).
But when I try to edit them in Excel, I get the message:
"Message from webpage: The document could not be opened for editing".
A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found to edit the document".
How can I fix this issue?

Hi,
I am having problems when exporting project schedules using mapped fields to Excel.
I have set the project's date format to '28 January 2009' (for example), but it exports to Excel in '28 January 2009 12:33'
I desperately need to remove the HH:MM against all tasks I'm exporting in order for my spreadsheet to do its magic, please help!
