We have a requirement,where we are migrating a DB server from DMZ zone to corporate zone.In This case,what all steps has to performed from DBA side (It is just a migration from one network zone to other)
Currently,we are analyzing only DB upstream and downstream connections to open the ports at firewall.
Other than this,any other steps required?please advise
On a Windows 2008 R2 server, I have installed SharePoint 2013 Trial and Project Server 2013 Trial.
At the end of the Project Server installation, the SharePoint 2013 Products Configuration Wizard kicks in.
This wizard runs thru until at Step 8, it fails with the message 'Failed to create sample data'. An exception of type System.NullReferenceException was thrown. Additional exception information: Object reference not set to an instance of an object'.
Can anyone suggest what is causing this and how to resolve it please?

In Project Server 2010, if there was and AD sync error, it would create an Event ID in Event Viewer with ID 7734. This would advise of the user name causing the issue so we could go in and deal with the problem.
We have migrated to 2013 and this Event no longer shows in Event Viewer. It produces Event ID 7704 which only really says that there was an error and to check the ULS Logs. Problem is, unless Verbose/Monitorable logging is turned on, it doesn't show in the ULS logs.
Is there an easier, quicker way to check who the user is? Or, can we somehow turn on this Event ID to show in the Event Viewer?

On Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, SharePoint/Project Server 2013 with June CU, I'm getting this error only on the server I'm using as a web server (I have two other servers running the service apps and whatnot):
The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPProductVersionJobDefinition (ID ab33e37a-b008-4dfe-88cf-d7c7fd0ec702) threw an exception. More information is included below.

This is occurring nightly and I think it is why, if I go to Manage Servers in Farm in CA, the web server shows "Upgrade Required". If I go to that server and run (get-spserver $env:computername).NeedsUpgradeit returns FALSE. So basically it seems that failing job is causing CA to think the server needs an upgrade when it doesn't. I can also fire up the config wizard on the web server and it says nothing about doing an upgrade.
Anyone else run into this and know what the deal is?

I have been searching widely to see if there is any way to change the default security timeout in Project Online.

I have been diagnosing our Project Server errors, and I have been unable to pinpoint the direct issues. Also searching the internet has failed to explain the issue.
It seems that most of the queue jobs contain errors. Some are failed but not blocking and other are being blocked. Below are three of the most common errors I receive. Any help would be appreciated. I have experience with SharePoint but not Project Server.

I have migrated Project Server from 2010 to 2013. Post migration, project Schedule of existing and new Projects is not opening in Edit mode in PWA. The following error message is displayed on clicking "Edit in Browser" option:
"An error occured while opening your project. Give us a few minutes and try again. If this happens again, contact your administrator".
The issue occurs both in IE and Chrome. Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

I have migrated Project Server 2010 to 2013 environment. The migration has been done successfully. However, when I try to save some projects from Project Professional 2013, the save operation fails. The error description for job failure mentions "Root Element" missing.
This happens only for some projects not all. I am unable to trace the cause of this issue.

I have a customer that has Projects scheduled to back up daily, through CA. The issue is Master Projects are not backing up, but sub projects. Tested by making a change in a Master Project and checked next day. It did not back up the Master Project I made change, but sub projects did. Has anyone else ever ran across this?

I have created one project in MSP 2013 and published it in EPM 2013. Again I Opened the same project in EPM and trying to Edit the Project through "Edit in Browser" Option , But Iam facing this error,

This is for Project Server 2010. I need to have a Project Schedule of the project at the Home Page of the Project site, so I inserted the Project Detail web part (that view when you drill down from Project Center page) in a standard Project Server site created from a project with one task and one resource (as it was in 2007). I cleaned up the home page from existing web parts and inserted this web part. In this case the web part identifies the correct url and the name of the project is the project I used to create the site. There is not any other option to change or type on it. I saved the site as template and it appeared activated at the solution gallery. Then I configured as default template and made all adjstments on corresponding PDPs.
When I publish a new project the web part appears in the home page, but with the schedule of the original site. So I need to manually edit the web part to change to the site's schedule. In the 2007 web part, it worked automatically.
I tried to create a site from a new project unrelated site, but using the Project Server site template, but the result was worst. When used in site template, it appeared as Error and it could not be edited but deleted. The problem is that you could not associate the web part to an existing project (the url or Project Server you need to fill in) before saving it as site template.
Am I doing anything wrong?

However, when I try to access Secure Store Service instance from Central Administration -> Application Management -> Manage Service Applications -> Secure Store Service Application instance, it gives me

So I decided to view ULS log to more digging and found following log :

I've checked certificate assigned to Sharepoint Web Service and it seems ok. The certificate used in Sharepoint Web Service is it's own certificate. Also restart service several times and recreated service instance several times. But any of them didn't make
it work. Please share your thoughts on this.

Arkadaşım aynı hatayı office 2013 kurarken kendisininde aldığını söyledi. Bende kurarken " Kurulum sırasında bir hatayla karşılaşıldı." şeklide bir hata alıyorum. Fix it programını indirmeyi denedim ama indirirken o da hata veriyor sanırım kullanımdan kaldırıldı. Microsoft'un yönlendirdiği birkaç program daha denedim ama sorun çözülmedi. Lütfen yardımcı olur musunuz?

I have a couple of users that are creating some issues.
When i look in the Admin center the user only exists once and sync's with AD
Username@domainname.com
When selecting the user to give them permissions in PWA the user appears twice - Same spelling but different domains and role descriptions.
username@domain.onmicrosoft.com
The onmicrosoft.com user is from when we were setting up Project Online, Before SSO.
How do I remove this account (onmicrosoft.com) as it doesn't exist as a user in the Admin center.
