Dear Project Server users,
I have some troubles with our reports.
Our goal is to be able to interact with pivot table and slicer style reports and refresh data in PWA reports section. Now, I have read a lot about different errors that people receive and solutions, but would appreciate perhaps some instruction on how to solve this specific problem. We use Project Server 2013 on premise.
Now, here is how I generated the report:
Opened Excel 2016, Get external data from oData data feed. Typed the url and made a report how I want in excel.
Then, when I open it online I cannot select any option on slicer (error: PivotTable Operation Failed An error occurred while working on the Data Model in the workbook. Please try again), nor refresh data.
My questions are:
Can I interact with pivot based reports in PWA? I have read that this option is not possible because I used oData. Can anybody please tell me whether I can interact, and if yes how.
and
What should be defined in order to enable the reports to be refreshed in PWA. Again, I have read that refresh is not possible for oData when using on premise.
