I have encountered several situations where I need to assign a task to Portfolio Managers Group in Project Server. This is one of them:
I have a SharePoint List for gathering ideas. These ideas should then be sent to Portfolio Managers so that they can select the ideas which should evolve to projects in the current financial year. I've developed a list workflow using SharePoint Designer, and then used "Start a task process" from Actions menu.
The Problem is that when I went on to assign the task to the Portfolio Managers Group, I found out that this group does not exist in the SharePoint security groups.
One way to resolve this might be defining a new group in SharePoint and associating all Portfolio Managers to that group, but this does not seem like a great idea as I would have to grant the required permissions to the group which is time-consuming.
Does anyone have any better idea?
